Starlite Laser Creations - News

We've Moved!
Steve
2009-11-02
As of the 1st of November, Starlite Laser Creations is now Graciously hosted by Apex Upholstery,(www.apexupholstery.com), and our operations will be conducted in their building. Please note that at least for now, there is no signage for Starlite Laser Creations on the exterior of the building, so when you look for us, you have to look for Apex upholstery first.
So, we're still open, still doing great-looking work, and still waiting for your business.

In addition to that, I've been doing some experimenting with the small laser, now that the big laser has been given up. It turns out that I can do work on pieces that are bigger than the 17 x 29" bed of the laser cabinet, by opening up the front of the cabinet. So it appears that I can fit a piece in that is up to 29" wide, and laser onto the end of the piece, up to 17" of it. So, if the piece is 29 x 34, I can do the image in two parts, with a seam down the middle. Doing a seamless image would be quite challenging, though maybe possible, but if you wanted a two-part image on a larger piece like that, it would be pretty easy!
Who knew?

Another thing that this allows is the engraving of designs onto the surface of things like guitars, walking sticks, baseball bats, etc. All those things that I thought were too long to fit inside the cabinet, now are possible again!

Anyway, if you have any ideas for engraving or cutting projects, please contact me (780-903-7708), and I'd be happy to see what I can do for you.
